3 Cheerful and Fun Secret Santa Games

This Christmas many families will be looking to find great activities to do with their families. One thing that they can do is to play Christmas present games. They are not only fun, they can also be quite economical. Playing games like Secret Santa will help to make the holidays that much more special for the children and the entire family. It will also teach your kids the importance of giving and thinking of others as they give gifts. The giving of presents remains the same but the rules vary from game to game. Here are some great present games to play with your family this Christmas.

The most fun game you can play with your kids this Christmas is Naughty or Nice. The game is based on how Santa supposedly decides who gets gifts. Good children get presents and bad children receive a lump of coal as a warning to change their ways. The object of the game is to not be the person caught with the lump of coal. First make sure to have gotten presents from a common wish list of what everyone wanted. You can set maximum amount that each person can spend and then assign who buys what present. On Christmas day each person randomly picks a gift. They then have three options. The can either keep the gift they have, pick a new one, or switch with a neighbor. Everyone then opens their gifts. The one who gets coal loses but you can give a consolation gift if the loser is a child.

Another great Santa Game is Dirty Santa. This game is a version of Secret Santa that has seamy underside allowing double crosses and stealing. Like in Secret Santa everyone participating has to buy one present. However instead of buying a present for a designated person the gifts are purchased without a particular recipient in mind. The real fun begins when the players pick their gifts. They can decide to keep their gift or pick a new one. Then everyone else has the option to switch gifts with the one just picked. This makes the game challenging especially if someone picks a gift that looks promising.

Another great game is the Dirty Dice Christmas Gift Grab Game. The rules are simple. A pile of various presents are put in the middle of the room. The game also uses a pair of dice and a time set for 15 minutes. If a person gets a double they can pick a present from the pile. After the time limit is over, everyone who has presents can open them. The next part gets tricky. The timer is set and everyone has to start rolling the dice once again. If a person gets doubles they can steal a present from anyone. If a player gets double sixes then they can keep the present they stole without fear of theirs getting stolen.

You can do something special for your children by having them get a letter from Santa. This can be ordered online and personalized with the three good things they did during the year and some the items that they wanted get for Christmas. The letters are also made to look as authentic as possible. Each letter has Santa’s signature and a special North Pole post mark.
